23 May 08 - Promotions and Exams
After two weeks of assessments including interviews, a written test, initiative exercises and a drill assessment, promotions were finally revealed on Friday night along with the long awaited exam results.
The competition between the cadets for promotion was tough and after much debate between the staff and NCOs, final decisions had to be made, but just to keep them waiting that little longer the first presentations were Leading badges to the cadets that fully passed their examinations.
Cadet Sergeants Thornton and Davison both received the crowns they’ve been yearning for for so long, to possibly become the squadrons first pair of Cadet Flight Sergeants.
Cadet Corporals Wray and Thornton also followed suit to receive an extra stripe to each epaulette.
Finally Cadets McCarthy, Mingay, Wilson and Ireland received their first set of stripes after being selected from a short list of applicants of nine cadets.
Congratulations to all, those who were promoted and those that received their Leading badges, Well Done.
