06 Jan 08 - Plenty of gliding over Christmas
Between breaking up for Christmas and returning to school in January, cadets from Ripon were able to fill 18 gliding slots.
That means that up to 18 cadets were each able to spend a day at 642 Volunteer Gliding Squadron, based at RAF Linton-on-Ouse. As is always the case with winter events, some cadets did better than others. One day (Saturday 22 Dec 07) was rained off completely. On the other hand, the cadets who attended on Christmas Eve were able to complete Gliding Induction Courses levels 1, 2 and 3 all on the same day!
