21 Jul 07 - RAF Aldergrove
At 4am on July 14th 2007, cadets Flavell and Wilson set off for Northern Ireland with A/Sgt Roberts. They travelled by ferry to RAF Aldergrove where they spent a week going shooting, doing sports, practising their drill, and visiting local attractions such as the Giant's Causeway. There was also a disco on the final evening and a trip to the cinema.
The highlight of the week was a flight in a Lynx helicopter, but the cadets also enjoyed making lots of friends with other cadets from all over the country, and the drill competition. The biggest surprise of the week was the fact that the food was so good!
Both Flavell and Wilson learnt a lot, and want to go on camp again as soon as possible!
