Welcome to the web site of the air cadets in Ripon. Our squadron's full title is 886 (City of Ripon) Squadron Air Training Corps, but "Ripon Air Cadets" will normally do.
Ripon squadron is only a small unit, but we aim to be one of the most active, both on the squadron and in attending wing, region and even corps events. Recent months have seen squadron cadets and staff participating at all levels of the organisation and we aim to keep up the good record.
Like the Air Training Corps as a whole, cadet membership is open to both boys and girls aged 13-18 years. All are offered the same opportunities for fun, training and personal development. All our activities are supervised by appropriately qualified staff, all of whom security cleared.
We are also recruiting suitable adult volunteers to add to the fold. If you are aged over 20 and would like to help shape "the next generation" then please get in touch. Hopefully you will have some relevent skills or experience, but this is not necessary as there are plenty of training opportunities for adult staff as well as cadets.
